Cory woke up in the middle of the night with the full melody for what would become the chorus of his beautiful new song, "Reckless Love"...

The melody and lyrics for Cory Asbury's new song, "Reckless Love," are honed from the solid foundation that makes up his relationship with God. To know the song story better, it helps to know a bit about Cory:

He started leading worship at fourteen and in 2005 progressed into full-time worship ministry at the International House of Prayer (IHOP) in Kansas City. During the next eight years, Cory spent countless hours leading worship sets in IHOP's prayer room. He is passionate about helping men and women encounter the love of the Father.

Reflecting on his own experience with God's love, Cory says...

"I know that the Lord encountered me, in a powerful way, related to His love and that He sees me. He wants me. He wants me to talk to Him." Cory continues, "And so, when I see people feeling that same thing and getting that absolute revelation of the love of God, that's my favorite part of leading worship."

"Reckless Love" beckons us to join Cory on this journey into the "overwhelming, never-ending, reckless love of God." There are many additional details surrounding this song's story and Cory is transparent about them in the series of videos that follow. We hope, as you watch them, that you get more of a sense of Cory's heart for you and, as you worship the Lord through this beautiful anthem, that God's delight is felt in your life...

"'Reckless Love' really is the song of my whole life." - Cory

One of our favorites, this next video is filled with laughter, silliness and endearing moments between Cory and his son, Gabriel. It's filmed in Ashland, Oregan and the crew has job responsibilities that include: car duty  and authorized camera people...

Hope you enjoy the song as much as we delight in bringing it to YOU!

O, the overwhelming, never-ending, reckless love of God
O, it chases me down, fights 'til I'm found, leaves the ninety-nine
I couldn't earn it, and I don't deserve it, still, You give Yourself away
O, the overwhelming, never-ending, reckless love of God, yeah"
