It's funny, when you become an adult there's an expectation that you have it all together. Most of us would admit we are just trying to keep all the balls in the air and often fail. Watching this high school pitcher win the game, sending his team to the state championship, then instantly run up to the batter, who has been a long time friend, to console him on his loss before celebrating with his team speaks volumes. In an increasingly digital world, we should make relationships much more of a priority. Yes, they get to play in the national championships but once that is done and over it the friends and family they come back to. Our victories and hobbies become great memories but what's a memory without the people we love?
