    MTV-Chris Pratt-Speech

You may have heard the MTV Movie Awards were last night and usually there would be little mention of them around here because of what they stand for and promote, so the fact that Chris Pratt dropped some wisdom on millions of young people on that platform is awesome. You may have seen some recaps of his speech where he talked about issues such as not being a bully because you have power or intellect that could allow it or if you wanna give a dog medicine hide it in some hamburger and they won't even know. But what stands out is when he said that "God is real. God loves you. God wants what's best for you. Believe that. I do."

Our lives get crazy and there are so many times it's easy to just give up and give in to whatever you're going through but there's hope. Is Chris Pratt perfect in everything he does? No. Are we perfect in everything we do? No. In fact, working to not allow my failures to define who I am is one of my biggest struggles. The good news is we do not have to be perfect to tell people about God's love. In fact, God often uses those who are not perfect as examples. David did many things he shouldn't have yet God loved him and used him. Moses fell sinned and couldn't enter the promised land and yet is still one of the most influential figures in the Bible. Paul killed Christians until he had an encounter with God. When I see what Chris Pratt did last night at the MTV Movie Awards, I see an imperfect man, just like you and me, admitting he's not perfect (which was another one of his rules) but still standing tall and telling people that God loves them.

    Alexa Big

As we become more and more reliant on technology you have to ask yourself are we going too far? That's a question that comes up a lot in this modern world but how do you feel about every hotel room one day having it's very own Alexa? You could order room service, ask for tips about places to explore or eat and even interact with the front desk. It seems like a great idea...unless you factor in privacy issues? When Lauren heard about it she was very much against it and I am kinda in between. You can read more about it HERE but what do you think? Do you want an Alexa in your hotel room?
