"Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you; Jesus Christ and the American G. I. One died for your soul; the other for your freedom."  - Author Unknown

As we celebrate our nation's greatest treasures - our Veterans - there are SO many freebies today and through the weekend for Veterans, young and old!!

Check them out > > > H E R E < < <

Some Veterans have a hard time when you walk up to tell them "Thank you for your service."

A better convo starter might be questions like:

      How long did you serve?

Why did you choose the Army/Navy/Air Force/Coast Guard/Marines?

Did anyone else in your family serve?

What was one of the highlights of serving for you?

OBVS - there are things you should NEVER say or ask, like if they've hurt anyone.

And, be aware not to ask too many questions if they seem unwilling to share with you or if you know they've been in combat. There are things they may still be trying to wrestle with.

And from your Air1 Morning Show - to ALL our Veterans - thank you.
